Metricell Modern Slavery & Human Traffiking Statement

1.1 Introduction

Metricell is committed to combatting slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains, and we make this statement to assist with compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This statement relates to the financial year ending 31/03/2025.

As our business has a turnover of less than £36 million, we do not have a legal obligation to produce a modern slavery statement. However, our values of ‘Community, Pride and Innovation’ mean that we strive to do business in a way that is ethical and minimises the negative impact on others. This statement has been approved by the board of directors and:

a. We agree that exploitation within all supply chains ending in the UK is a blight on our society, and we are committed to playing our part in eliminating exploitation.
b. We understand that customers with obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 cannot comply with those duties without our cooperation.

To that end, we confirm that we have examined our own business and, to the extent that it is reasonably practicable, businesses within our supply chain and we confirm the following:

a. We confirm that within our own business, no relevant offence relating to slavery or human tracking has been committed.
b. We have made enquiries of businesses that supply directly to us and we are confident that no relevant offence is committed in that business.
c. Insofar as it was reasonably practicable, we have examined our supply chains and confirm that we found no evidence of slavery or human trafficking.

Further details about our business and supply chain are provided below.

1.2 About Us

Metricell is a Private limited Company founded in 2007 in Horsham, UK. Over the years we have grown to work with some of the world’s best-known companies to test, measure and assure the connections that keep them running. Our work includes in-building surveys; connectivity planning and design; private networks and providing essential tools for continuous monitoring. We’ve brought process automation and digital transformation to network operator’s engineering and customer care teams, and we work with local and national governments to deliver a range of projects: from consumer research and regulatory compliance to SmartCity development and service provider benchmarking.

1.3 Organisational structure

Metricell has 65 employees across three main locations. This is made up of 9 members of the senior leadership team who make up the board of directors, and the remaining employees report to them. A large portion of our staff work in project teams which are supported by project managers which aids collaboration across departments.

We operate in the following countries:
- United Kingdom
- Spain
- Malaysia

1.4 Our Supply chain

We have around 120 suppliers, some of which are contractors who supply a service. The majority are based in the UK, with others where our offices are such as Spain and Malaysia. Outside of the countries that we operate in, there are 11 suppliers in the USA, 3 in Australia and 3 in Germany. There are also singular suppliers in The Netherlands, Israel, and Pakistan.

1.5 Due dilligence

We understand that certain industry sectors and geographical regions entail greater risk of exploitation than others. Being a primarily UK based telecommunications company, we do not believe that our supply chain is in one of those sectors.

Where it is reasonably practicable, we ensure that businesses in our supply chain have made a similar statement relating to slavery and human trafficking.

We also encourage all employees to report on any matters relating to slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains of which they become aware.
